About six weeks ago,
over 100 bodies washed up on the concrete banks of the river running through Aleppo. Syria's largest city, Aleppo competes with Damascus for the title of the longest continuously-occupied city on Earth. The Guardian went back to find out
the story behind the bodies. Rumors dominate again, but there are heartbreaking accounts of the fear people have in simply crossing from East to West.
